Blurb:

When duty and passion collide, they could lose everything

Malkyn of Keitera has built a new life in Earth’s system. She’s a daredevil pilot in the asteroid belt, far from the bloody battle for her family’s throne that drove her across the galaxy. But now her homeworld is under siege by a mysterious alien force — and the tall, muscular soldier with whom she...

So here it is! The cover for my latest sci-fi romance, Rebel Run. It is book 1 in the Star Racers and Rogues series.

Blurb:

A bloody fight over her family’s throne drove Malkyn across the galaxy. She’s managed to make a new life for herself in the Earth system, joining a group of daredevil star-pilots who race through the asteroid belt to entertain others.

But now her past is about to collide with her future. An unknown alien force has her home under siege and...

And the Countdown Begins…

I was definitely tempted to put off this particular update until after the new year, to make it into a sort of year-end wrap up. But since I’m thinking about changing the way I do these progress reports next year, I figured I should stick with this format for one last time.

Here’s where all of my works-in-progress stand now:

  1.  Unnamed Shifter Story, based on a Japanese folktale. Original goal was to expand the story from 15k to 20k. Still sitting at 16k. Found...

Updating…. Please Wait… Updating…

As much as I hate missing progress reports, real life has been getting in the way–as it often does for everyone around this time of year. Here’s my current status:

  1.  Unnamed Shifter Story, based on a Japanese Folktale. Original goal was to expand the story from 15k to 20k. Still sitting at 16k. Haven’t had much luck hunting down research materials for a certain plot element I wanted to add.
  2. Sci-Fi. Sequel to Bonded. Dev gets his own story and a woman more than...

Just a Quick Update…

I lost a full day of writing because of family plans–these are relatives I only get to see about once a year, if I’m lucky. But I did manage about 3000 words this week, all in “Dragon Quest.” I kind of wanted to get at least half of its first draft finished before I even think about tackling another revision on “Dragon Sacrifice,” just in case something comes up in the writing that will affect the timeline in the two stories. I don’t expect it to happen, but...

The Plot Bunnies are Coming!

IMG_20150522_171726_835

Wild rabbit I saw at the local mall. So bold he had to be a plot bunny.

The good news? I can finally check one of my works-in-progress off my list. The maybe not-so-great news? I was then promptly attacked by plot bunnies for four new story ideas. My muse is apparently a very perverse mistress who can’t stand the thought of my being able to get caught up on everything I want to do. Though I am proud of the fact that I did manage to avoid starting any of those...

A Step Forward

And still a long way to go…

I didn’t have enough progress on my six WIPs this week to break it down by project, but I didn’t want to skip another report. I’ve written about 900 words, but I know I deleted a lot more than that during the revisions on the various projects. The revisions are the hardest for me to track, because it doesn’t have a concrete stat I can put on it to show what I’ve done, unlike the actual writing of new words. Does anyone have a system...

Still a Work in Progress

I didn’t want to post a report last week because to be honest, my lack of actual progress at the time was kind of embarrassing. I still haven’t done nearly as much as I would have liked, but for the sake of being accountable, I’m going to update here:

  1.  Unnamed Shifter Story, based on a Japanese Folktale. Original goal was to expand the story from 15k to 20k. Managed to add almost a 1000 words to this.
  2. Sci-Fi. Sequel to Bonded. Dev gets his own story and a woman...

In Case You Missed Me…

I need to apologize for dropping off the writing cliff for the last several months. Since April, I’ve been dealing with a wrist injury that no one seems to be able to diagnose or figure out how to treat. Because the injury is to my dominant hand, I’m having a hard time doing much of anything. I’ve also been unable to work my day job.
